RTLB North Canterbury

RTLB (Resource Teachers of Learning and Behaviour) provide specialist support to North Canterbury students whose achievement in learning and behaviour is not fully realized and support their kura/schools and their kaiako/teachers in order to improve educational outcomes for year 0 -10 students. RTLB North Canterbury needed a new brand identity that resonated with their purpose and elevated their position in the community.

Working with RTLB NC we lead a team strategy workshop to discuss their mission and vision for their brand, and brand values. Creating ownership for their new brand and the brand journey.

Parallel lines create a refined symbol for RTLB North Canterbury’s brand identity that is contemporary and considered. Elongated lines curve slightly at the ends symbolising the waters of North Canterbury. Exterior lines symbolise river banks which guide the life within them; varied line lengths represent braiding and meeting of water ways, sometimes turbulent, sometimes calm uniting to convey themes of guidance and community.

The word-mark is set in a contemporary robust and highly legible sans serif that has an approachable trustworthy tone. The unique fluid joining forms are subtle representations of water. The identity has been designed to work as a unit or as a lone notary symbol and pattern to be used on collateral.
